Cloud-to-cloud

Transfer files from Dropbox to Box

Connect both Dropbox and Box once, then pick the files you want to move. SaveToDrives streams them server-side — no downloading to your device and re-uploading to Box by hand.

Why this works well

  • Direct server-side move or copy — skip the download-then-reupload round trip entirely
  • Box's content controls (retention, classification, granular sharing) make it a natural landing spot for files that need governance — move them in without a manual re-upload
  • Live progress for the whole batch in one activity feed, with a notification when it's done

How to do it

  1. Connect Dropbox and Box (OAuth for both).
  2. Open Transfer and browse your Dropbox files.
  3. Select what to move, choose Box as the destination, and pick copy or move.
  4. Watch progress live; get notified the moment it finishes.

FAQ

Do you keep a copy of my Dropbox files?

No durable copy. Bytes stream Dropbox → worker → Box for the duration of the job only.

Can I move instead of copy?

Yes — move deletes the source file from Dropbox after a verified successful upload to Box.

Does a failed transfer use my quota?

No. Only successfully completed transfers count toward your monthly bandwidth.
