Privacy Policy

Thanks for entrusting SaveToDrives. Holding onto your private information is a serious responsibility, and we want you to know how we're handling it.

The short version

We collect your information only with your consent; we collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary to fulfill the purpose of your interaction with us; we don't sell it to third parties; and we only use it as this Privacy Statement describes.

What we collect and why

SaveToDrives is a platform through which you upload or transfer files from the internet to your cloud storage. We always ask for your permission to access your account. We request your email, full name, and profile image so we can show which account is currently in use. We transfer files directly to your cloud storage without retaining copies on our servers.

Website browsers

If you're just browsing, we collect the same basic information most websites collect using common technologies such as cookies and server logs — browser type, language preference, referring site, requested pages, timestamps, and IP address.

How we share information

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for their commercial purposes, except as required to operate the service (e.g. cloud provider APIs you authorize) or as required by law.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and localStorage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics to understand aggregate usage, but not to track you individually. We honor Do Not Track by not permitting third-party cross-site tracking.

How we secure your information

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. No method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have concerns, please contact us.

Data retention & deletion

For a direct transfer (for example, a URL or a connected cloud account to another cloud account), your file streams straight from source to destination — we do not store its contents on our servers. If you upload a file from your device, we hold a temporary copy only until your transfer finishes, then delete it immediately. If you choose "Download" as a transfer's destination, we keep the resulting file in your account's storage so you can retrieve it; contact us at any time to have it removed. Disconnecting a connected provider (such as Google Drive) immediately and permanently deletes the access token we stored for it — we keep no copy of it afterward.

Changes to this statement

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time and will provide notice of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
