What Is a Share Ratio?

Paid plans run on shared worker pools, and your plan's share ratio determines how much of that pool's capacity you get at once.

The short version

  • A 3:1 ratio means up to three concurrent transfers may share the same server resources
  • A lower ratio (2:1, then 1:1 on Premium) means less contention and generally faster transfers
  • Premium's 1:1 ratio is dedicated capacity — no sharing at all

In practice

  1. Your plan page shows your current share ratio.
  2. Higher tiers get progressively less contention.
  3. Premium gets a dedicated server with no sharing.

FAQ

Does share ratio affect my monthly quota?

No — quota (how much you can transfer) and share ratio (how fast, under contention) are separate things.

Will my transfer definitely run at the ratio's max speed?

Share ratio describes worst-case contention, not a guaranteed speed — most of the time you'll see faster than the theoretical worst case.
