Why this method
- Fixes the "unsupported file type" error some tools throw on HEIC
- Converts on the way to your drive — no downloading a converted copy and re-uploading it separately
- Works for a single photo or a whole camera-roll export at once
Tutorial
iPhone photos save as HEIC by default, and plenty of sites, tools, and older devices still don't accept it. This guide shows how to convert to JPG and land the result directly in your cloud drive — no separate converter site.
Add Google Drive, Dropbox, or any other supported provider as a connection — this is where your converted JPGs will land.
If they're already in a connected cloud drive, you can pick them from there directly. If they're only on your device, upload them the same way you'd start any transfer.
When staging the file, pick JPG as the output format. You can also choose a size/quality tier if you want smaller files for the web.
Choose which connected drive the converted JPG should land in, then start the job.
You can select multiple HEIC files at once — they'll all convert and land as one batch.
You'll get a notification when the conversion finishes. The original HEIC file is untouched wherever it started; the JPG is a new file in your chosen destination.
